Original and traditional Celtic art by Hamish Burgess, hand painted with acrylics on watercolour paper. This piece was first an original tattoo design, drawn by Hamish Burgess and tattooed by him on a friend who appreciates Celtic art, who then commissioned the design as a painting.
Featuring zoomorphic Celtic designs in the style of the ‘Book of Kells‘ and the ‘Lindisfarne Gospels‘. With an original Dolphin by Hamish, a traditional Dog based on a design in the ‘Lindisfarne Gospels‘, and a Bird based on a design in the ‘Book of Kells‘.
In the original tattoo (circling around his friend’s leg) the birds foot entwined with the dolphin’s tail creating a continuous circle of life.

All prints signed and numbered by the artist in pencil at the bottom.
